The partnership has been years in the making. Tricel supply the vast majority of the tanks Hydraclean installs, and over that time a natural working relationship developed between the two companies. Formalising it into a structured aftercare programme is the logical next step — and one we’re proud to have reached.

What the tank aftercare partnership covers
All aftercare services are delivered by Hydraclean and help support compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS8558:2015. The package includes:
Tank inspection
Regular tank inspections carried out by trained, competent operatives. Best practice is every six months; the minimum requirement under HSG274 and ACoP L8 is annually. Each inspection assesses the physical condition of the tank, lining, inlet, outlet, and cover, with a detailed written report provided.
Tank cleaning
Over time, cold water storage tanks accumulate sediment, dust, organic matter, and debris that encourage biofilm formation and bacterial growth. Routine cold water storage tank cleaning to BS8558:2015 removes this build-up, helps prevent contamination from incoming mains debris, and keeps systems safe and compliant.
Water sampling
