End of Year 2022

Year in review

As the first year of truly getting back to normal after the pandemic, 2022 has been a massive success for Hydraclean Ltd. This year has allowed us to carry out projects that we have had to put on hold for 2 years and for our client portfolio to grow considerably.

South Office

One of the major successes of 2022 was the development and opening of our South Office in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. With the keys given to us in March, it was full steam ahead for renovation completion for our first networking event at the start of July. This renovation was filmed by our Marketing Executive, Emily Racher, and is available to view on our LinkedIn page. With major changes such as a mezzanine floor, conference room and a training rig, this office has turned from an empty shell to a base, in which our employees can collect equipment for projects and be trained to ensure a high standard of work.

Our South Engineering Manager, David Lavender, is working to create a training schedule to be carried out in the new building for all of our employees, with training opportunities becoming external in the next year or two. With the employment of our new South Contract Manager, David Robinson, we have everything that we need to serve the Southern half of the country as best we can.

Our First Networking Event

With the completion of the South Office, our first event allowed us to combine the opening of the office with a networking event for our current clients. The event was an informal networking event which consisted of a tour of the office, games and lunch provided for all attendees. This event was also the premier of the video that Emily filmed and enabled every attendee to receive a bag of our merchandise. This event was a great success with a turnout of around 90% of invited guests, with individuals telling us how much they enjoyed the afternoon.

The success of this event has given us the confidence to hold other events in the future for our clients. We aim to hold an event once a year, alternating between our Head Office in Stockport and our South Office in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. We want to keep these event informal and provide all attendees with a different networking afternoon to what they are used to.

Work Force Expanding

Alongside hiring David Robinson as our South Contract Manager, we have hired another 4 employees which are aiding in our ever increasing workload. With two additional hygienists for the North and two additional admin staff for our Head Office, the ability to serve more clients and take on more complex projects has never been more realised. Additionally, with the increase in the training that we offer our employees, our work force is more equipped to take on more unique work. This training also opens the door to applying candidates that do not have prior experience in the water industry, ensuring that we are not missing out on the talent of the future.

We have never and will never change our view on recruitment – we believe that if you are not constantly on the lookout for the work force of the future, you could miss out on valuable skill and knowledge. Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

Despite the pandemic, 2020 and 2021 allowed us to look at our carbon footprint and come up with a plan for how we can reduce it. 2022 has given us the opportunity to put this plan into action with the delivery of Hydraclean’s first two electric vehicles. Whilst this might not be the long term solution for reducing our carbon emissions, we feel that it is important to work with the latest technology, to ensure that the planet has the best chance to recover for future generations.

Currently, the electric vehicles that we have are for admin staff, however, we are hard at work for a plan for our fleet of vans to go in the same direction. Our aim for this project is end of next year, due to the geographical reach in which we offer our services.

Social Media Success

Over the past year, our LinkedIn page has been a hub of celebrating completed projects and employee individual success. 2022 has been the year of us hitting 1000 followers, a milestone in which we are extremely proud of and aim to match in the coming year. Having such a large following on our LinkedIn has enabled us to celebrate successes and work with individuals that we previously might not have done. Our social media platforms have enabled conversations and debates to happen, allowing for participants to find out the latest information and methods.

In 2023, we hope to provide more behind the scenes videos, more personal successes from our employees and more interactive content.

Training

We take pride in the work that our employees carry out, and know that training is an important part of guaranteeing the high standard of work we are known for. Our employees have been taking part in courses such as confined spaces, unvented heating and an electrical installation course. Being one of the UK’s leading Legionella compliance specialists, we pride ourselves on training all of our employees, regardless of job role, on the latest Legionella developments and legislation. By doing this, all of our employees understand Hydraclean’s vision and how we can work together to ensure this is realised.

With the expansion of our workforce, there comes a need for more training opportunities. Whether the requirement is practical or theory we have spent 2022 preparing in-house training schemes so 2023 becomes even more successful.
